Happy Fourth of July everyone!!! (Y’all are getting a bonus post this week!) Every year on this gloriously patriotic day, we face the same question: where can we find the best fireworks show? We’ve ultimately come to the conclusion that regardless of your opinion, anything is better than waiting around for the neighborhood kids to set off a Roman candle then calling it a night… We don’t want to risk any hurt feelings by singling out a favorite, so without further ado, here is an exhaustive list of all the places (from Malibu to Redondo) where and when you can get your firework fix, and the links will direct you to info about prices and parking:
Malibu – 9pm, recommended viewing spots: Malibu Colony Road, Broad Beach Road, Paradise Cove
Pacific Palisades – around 9pm, Pali High
Santa Monica – unfortunately Santa Monica College served its patriotic duty on Jun 25th, but they do have an awesome parade on the day of the fourth!
Marina del Rey – 9pm, recommended viewing spots: Burton W. Chace Park, Fisherman’s Village and Mother’s Beach
Culver City – 9pm, West LA College
Hollywood – around 9pm, recommended viewing spots: the Hollywood Bowl Overlook (catch the #views from 7/2-7/4!) or the Hollywood Forever Cemetery (you can also catch a screening of Grease that night, what more could you want?)
DTLA – 9pm, Grand Park and Exposition Park
Pasadena – 9pm, the Rose Bowl Stadium
South Bay – 9pm, Seaside Lagoon (Redondo Beach)
Happy Fourth! Stay safe today and always, and don’t forget about services like Uber and Lyft if you need a ride!
