Heal the Bay’s Nothin’ But Sand is back! For those who don’t know, the nonprofit Heal the Bay is based in Southern California and dedicates its time and resources to the preservation of local watersheds. Their efforts range from activism against wastewater dumping to events like Nothin’ But Sand.

This event will take place at Will Rogers State Beach in the Palisades, but they also hold beach cleanups at Dockweiler and Santa Monica throughout the year. If you’re interested in bringing your teens/preteens to get some community service hours, this is the only event at which they verify hours! You can also reduce your wait time at the event by filling out their liability waiver (see below).

What: a beach cleanup to give back to one of our state’s most precious resources!

When: Saturday, 5/16 from 10am-12pm

Where: Will Rogers State Beach
